Cheeks

Many factors affect how skin ages. Declining muscle tone, sun damage, lack of collagen production and the cumulative effects of gravity lead to deep lines, sagging skin or a hollowed-out face.

For many years, the only remedy for people who wanted to restore a more youthful appearance was a facelift. Because they are a relatively invasive surgical procedure, facelifts carry inherent risks and have a longer recovery time due to bruising and swelling. However, many patients are choosing a modern option called dermal fillers for a naturally refreshed appearance.

Dr Sinha performs the procedure himself with epic attention to detail. I am thankful to have met him. He will be doing all future injections on me.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are a non-invasive way to restore fullness to cheeks, revitalizing facial contours and giving your face a more natural appearance. Treatments usually only take a few minutes, and you will notice an immediate improvement to your appearance, with results lasting up to a year.

Dermal injectables are an excellent treatment to address common aging complaints such as:

  • Lost volume around the cheeks and in the mid-face area
  • Facial asymmetries
  • Lack of facial contouring
  • Moderate to severe wrinkles, lines and folds

Facial fillers such as Juvéderm® and Restylane® contain hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the human body. These injectables are FDA-approved and proven safe for any skin type.

What can I expect from choosing dermal filler treatments?

At the Atlanta Institute for Facial Aesthetic Surgery, we administer gel-based dermal fillers using a tiny needle to create contouring injections to redefine and reshape the cheek and mid-face area.

Injections take place onsite at our clinic, and are typically complete within less than an hour. The injectables include the topical anesthetic lidocaine to minimize discomfort and make the injections completely painless.

Injectable treatments are non-invasive and do not require any patient downtime, and you’ll be able to return to work and resume normal activities immediately.

Side effects are generally mild and include redness, numbness, minor bruising, swelling, itching or tenderness at the injection site. These effects generally disappear within two to three days.

Depending on the desired results of your cheek contouring, our professional staff can help you determine which injectable dermal filler treatments are right for you during a complimentary consultation at our Atlanta clinic. Dr. Sinha will work with your expectations and goals to create a subtle, natural-looking effect.
